TransSolutions assisted Gensler (and the LASRE team) in evaluating the performance of passenger movements within and around ten station designs along the newly planned Sepulveda corridor. TransSolutions’ utilized an agent-based software from InControl called Pedestrian Dynamics to model individual passenger flow within the stations to allow the team to evaluate the platform and corridor widths of their station designs and the number of fare gates serving each station.

TransSolutions worked with HOK to update another firm's STEPS software model of the Grand Central Terminal and new Long Island Railway addition (now known as Grand Central Madison). TransSolutions’ updated passenger flows and connections within the existing and newly designed LIRR building addition to simulate daily passenger flows to and from the existing subway stop, the existing Grand Central trains and the new LIRR service.  The study focused on platform movements, vertical transition (elevator and escalator) usage and building entrances and exits.
