Company History
TransSolutions was established in November 1998 through a
management buy-out from The SABRE Group. The management and staff of TransSolutions
are composed of SABRE’s former Transportation Planning Group, which had an extensive and
successful business practice serving the airport and transportation industry for the past
ten years. Based in Fort Worth, Texas, the firm has its origins in the Operations Research
department of American Airlines. The principals in the firm each have more than ten years
experience in airport operations analysis and associated simulation modeling.
Additionally, the entire staff and on-going contracts transferred to TransSolutions.
Company Profile
TransSolutions works with architectural/engineering firms,
transportation firms, airport authorities, airlines, and civil aviation administrations to
develop feasible, cost-effective designs and operational policies for airports and other
transportation facilities. Our consulting services combine an interdisciplinary approach
with leading-edge technology to provide our clients with better decision-making
information, thus allowing them to improve operational efficiency, forecast expansion
requirements, enhance the level of customer service, and reduce costs.
Our statistical analyses are used by planners to determine whether a proposed design or a set of procedures will achieve desirable levels of customer service. Our analyses include detailed statistical evaluations of the performance of proposed infrastructure as well as graphical animations that provide a computer-generated, visual picture of the system in operation. Graphical user interfaces can be added to the modeling tools to allow planners to evaluate a variety of scenarios and to determine the impact of changes in procedures or demand.
